When he isn't consumed by chronic procrastination, Aayzed spends his time reveling in cult classic films, concocting wild conspiracy theories, and chatting up strangers every chance he gets. Also food. Copious amounts of mouth-watering, sweat-inducing, life-shattering food. 

 

He's incredibly drawn to the written word, and makes vain attempts of his own at exploring his curiosities by way of his blog.

Ciara Post is her happiest when she’s making, looking, and talking about art, hiking with her friends, and running on the beach. She also ideally should not be spoken to before her morning coffee.

 

Ciara is trying to get better at the crossword and would like to learn how to code. You will often find her laughing so hard that she cannot breathe, in debates with her brother, or both.

Meredith Prescott

Meredith recently graduated from the George Washington University with a BS in Public Health. She is now spending a year serving as an Americorps member in Western Colorado with a food security nonprofit that hosts students and grows vegetables to donate to hunger relief.

 

She hopes to continue learning about and serving in the interdisciplinary fields of public health, food security/food justice, and sustainable agriculture.

Michael Oosterhout

Though mainly a musician by trade, Michael is an avid appreciator of all the arts and has a passion for education. Whenever he is (rarely) not teaching, practicing, or sleeping, he loves to write, sing, and help his brother.

​

Michael has served as Program Manager at an award-winning educational theatre company and is currently on faculty at both a music center and a small independent school in Connecticut. He is a graduate of Vassar College.

Noah Walker

Noah Walker is either in lab, class, or bed. He’s a passionate young Black scientist pursuing his Ph.D. and loves talking about serious issues like race, but also food, football, horror flicks, and music. He moonlights as the leader of the Official Patrice Cavanaugh Fan Club.

 

He wants to be able to use his degree to make new drugs to cure diseases, showing other minorities that they can succeed in higher education and/or whatever else they set their minds to.

Noor Chaudry Inciting Altruism

Noor Chaudry

Noor is working as a consultant for the Social Sector Accelerator — a nonprofit consulting firm dedicated to building more effective grant-maker practice.

 

She majored in Political Science and International Affairs at George Washington University, leading a refugee and migrant advocacy group called No Lost Generation (NLG). 

 

She hopes to utilize her skills as an organizer to lead a rich career dedicated to social good and lasting impact.

Patrice Newman Cavanaugh

Patrice is a former banker, serving in the capacities of Vice President and Senior Vice President for two different banks respectively. She is also a former first lady of a University in the state of Florida.

 

Now she devotes her time to loving her family and touching the lives of people in her community.

Ricardo Espitia

Ricardo was a Youth Development Peace Corps Volunteer in the Philippines from 2014-2016. During his service, he worked for the nation’s social welfare program where he supported children, youth, and family programming.

 

He has a passion for cooking, hiking, volunteering, traveling, and youth development.

Sachin Samarakone

Sachin is a puppet, a pauper, a pirate, a poet and a pawn who hopes to one day be a king because in the wise words of frank sinatra: That’s life!

 

He is happiest whiling the hours away with his friends, counting his age not by years (which he hates to admit is slowly getting up there) but by meaningful relationships developed

Sebastian van Bastelaer

Sebastian is currently either devouring a book on obscure 18th-century history or watching college basketball. He has worked in government and the nonprofit sector, published academic articles in a variety of publications, and dabbled as a sportswriter.

 

He will never rest until everyone on Earth knows that 1) The U.S. Constitution doesn’t say what you think it does and 2) French fries are Belgian, not French.

Stan is a Korean speaking horror-guru who's goal in life is to connect with as many people as possible, make them laugh and to strengthen his legs walking across various countries.

Stephanie is a conservationist who is passionate about our natural world and the fate of our planet.

 

In 2010, Stephanie visited Tanzania, fell in love with a Maasai warrior, and never left. She now lives with her Maasai family in the Tanzanian bush, enjoys herding her cattle, and is working on several projects aimed at the preservation of Maasai culture.'
